Co-owner of Prime Cuts Records in Hollywood for 15 years, Prime Cuts was the first store to open on the West Coast dedicated exclusively dance music. Store closed in 2002. Started indie dance label (Fresh Music LA) and had 4  releases chart on billboard club play chart as well  as having a # 1 Billboard club play single with Erin Hamilton “Control Yourself.” Rafael transitioned into production, remixing, and mastering, where 15 of his remixes charted on Billboard dance charts.
