From Puerto Rico but based in Queens, NYC, Bio Zounds a House Music, DJ/Producer, specializing in the sounds of Afro, Tribal House and Tech House, infused with electronic elements.

Started out his career as DJ Biohazard. By the 1990’s he had moved to New York City and was doing at least 2 house parties a year in his apartment in the Bronx. Back then his sound had more elements of Electroclash and Electro House, and to go along with that he dressed in costume with theatrical makeup and contacts. He got the name DJ Biohazard after his friends told him his music made them want to do drugs.

By 2011 he started to pay more attention to the wonderful music he was producing and slowly transitioned from DJ Biohazard to Bio Zounds. He shed the makeup and costumes and focused more on the tribal sounds and drums which have become part of his signature.

Landed his first club residency at The Manhattan Monster Bar in January 2016, and is one of the resident DJs for Antonio Cedeno Events. Has played in many different venues in NYC, PR, Orlando, and Atlanta. Winner of the One Magical Weekend 2K17 DJ Contest and was named 2018 DJ On The Rise by Kinkster MAG, NYC. Has released official remixes and original tracks under various record labels like: Big Mouth Music, Queen House Music, Stimulus Recordings, Rejoin Records, Profun2 Productions, Soundgroove Records, Quantize Recordings, and Sektor Recordings.

Bio Zounds is best known for his unique Tribal/Afro House sound. Tweaks his sounds by adding electronic elements to his tracks. Drums are another tell tale sign of a Bio Zounds track.

Passionate and dedicated, he is committed to producing music that will stick to his signature sounds yet he is open to exploring where his sounds will take him next. Much of his productions are the result of experimenting with instrumental elements. As he tests sounds and various elements and they seem to work, he explodes them into new dynamic beats.
